“Art goes beyond the limits within which time would like to compress it, and indicates the content of the future.”
(Kandinsky, The spiritual in art)
In November, a new contemporary art exhibition entitled “The Tomorrow of Art” will be inaugurated at the Galleria360’s exhibition spaces. The exhibition will be inaugurated on Friday 5th November 2021 at 7.30 pm at the new headquarters in via Borgo Ognissanti 77r, Florence. During the vernissage Jazz musicians will play live. According to the decree law of 23 July 2021, n. 105, from 6 August 2021, access to the gallery is allowed only to visitors in possession of the covid-19 green pass.
One of the main functions of art is to innovate and renew. To do this, it is essential to be able to correctly read and interpret one’s own historical past since, as Henri Luis Bergson argued, “the present contains nothing but the past; thus, what is discovered in the effect was already found in the cause. “
“The Tomorrow of Art”is therefore an artistic exhibition that promotes the multilingualism of current art, showing the importance of adopting a free and diachronic gaze on art, in a perspective that is always dynamic but respectful of historical events. In fact, through mediums, different languages and the talent of international artists, the exhibition weaves a stimulating dialogue between past and present, giving life to an art that looks to the future.
Like a fragment that comes to us from ancient times, covered by the patina of the years, for its cultural and symbolic implications it also becomes a valid ‘foundation stone’ for new architectures; so in today’s art the seeds of tomorrow’s future are hidden. The visual process of contemporaneity has its roots in history and becomes current moving into the future. Therefore, the contemporary artist has the duty and the opportunity to design an artwork for the present, for the “today”; but at the same time the artist who will be capable of being a forerunner, a visionary and in the right measure an innovator instead, the artist able to go “beyond ” that “hic et nunc” will create masterpieces; namely artworks that can open the eyes of the mind and heart, to push gently us upwards.
“The Tomorrow of Art” exhibition will be open until 29th November 2021 during the opening hours of the gallery.
