“ART in Florence” is the title of the new artistic review organized by Galleria360 whose inauguration will take place on Friday  4th of  February 2022  at 19.00 in via Borgo Ognissanti 77r, Florence. During the vernissage Jazz musicians will play live. According to the decree law of 23 July 2021, n. 105, from 6 August 2021, access to the gallery is allowed only to visitors in possession of the covid-19 green pass.

In a singular synergy between contemporary art and history, Galleria360 have selected artists from around the world in order to offer new opportunities for reflection and stimulating comparison and to bring back the art and aesthetic meditation in their place of origin, in the heart of artistic expression: namely Florence. Tuscan capital has always had a privileged relationship with elegance and beauty. Its artistic masterpieces, its places and alleyways steeped in historical memories, its lively cultural atmosphere have made it the city of art par excellence for centuries. Fundamental and privileged stage of the Grand Tour since the seventeenth centuries, the capital of the Grand Duchy, the “most beautiful city in Italy” for François-Jacques Deseine in 1699, enthuses Goeth¸ Jean Pierre Vieusseux, Johan Zoffany, Oscar Wilde and many others for the collection of ancient statuary and precious stones artifacts from the Uffizi Gallery; generates admiration for the masterpieces of great artists such as Masaccio, Michelangelo, Leonardo or Raffaello; it amazed by the ingenious water games and the topiary art of the Boboli Gardens, or marvels at the sudden appearance of the colossal statue of Giambologna’s Apennines in the park of Pratolino.

Historic artistic heritage which is a great source of pride but at the same time can hinder the promotion and development of new trends.
“ART in Florence” solves this antinomy and, through the creative eclecticism of different artists, creates a bold synthesis of opposites, Florence and Contemporary Art, able to create a dialogue between past and present and to share it with the public.

So, “ART in Florence” is an exhibition that promotes plurilingualism of current art, showing the importance of adopting a free and diachronic look about art, in a dynamic perspective but respectful of the historical events. Henri Bergson Luis argued that “the present does not contain more than the past, so, what you discover in the effect was already in the cause.
