Heidi Curko was born on Shelter Island, and has lived in NYC and Hudson County since the 1990’s. Her drawn, gestural works and color paintings are deeply evocative, reflecting her “inner landscape” in a similar way, her earlier images of waterscapes and atmospheric scenes reflect mood and emotion. She often combines graphite, and other drawing media with paint to create marks and capture kinetics and movement that is then shared with the viewer.
Her work has been shown in museums and galleries both nationally and internationally, and is in several corporate collections.
Some notable institutions where her work has been featured include: Aqua Art Miami, Boulder Museum of Art, Museum of Mumbai, the Jersey City Museum, Walter Wickiser Gallery in NYC, and RH Modern.
