“Between Dreams and Memories” & “Rhythms of Emotions”

12 September 2019 - 7 October 2019
  • This event has passed.

As the past’s great masters, also the ones in “Rhythms of Emotions” create works of art starting from their sensations, that, even if are purely personal and subjective arrive to the viewer with the same power because everyone’s life is measured by emotions, by different rhythms: harmonious, cadenced, joyful, tormented. Our life, therefore, can be measured with art, with the multiple sensations induced from the power of images and “Rhythms of Emotions” wants to be an exhibition that leaves a permanent trace on our soul.

“All the feelings of life spring from this secret: the rhythm of things.” (Paolo Sorrentino)
After the summer break, Galleria360 reopens its exhibition rooms for offering to its visitors a pleasant evening of art, music and new aesthetic emotions.
On Thursday 12th September 2019 at 19.00, via il Prato 11r Firenze, Galleria360 awaits you for a double unmissable contemporary art event: the personal exhibition of the artist Regina Noakes and the group exhibition titled “Rhythms of emotions”. During the opening will also be offered a welcome drink while Jazz musicians will play live.

Regina Noakes is a famous Australian artist. Born in Singapore in 1958, she has trained at the “Art Students League” in Boston. Currently she devotes herself to painting full-time, achieving a great success in Australia, England, USA and Italy. She has won numerous prizes and awards such as the Gold Medal of Lorenzo the Magnificent in Florence; her works are also in private collections, government bodies and universities such as: Eric Clapton, Sting MBE, The British Goverment Art Collection, University of Cambridge, Ministry of Water Resources, Sultanate of Oman, Singapore Economic Board. Through a genuine language, which resembles the naive painting, Regina Noakes interweaves reality and imagination, personal memories and imagination, creating a continuous short circuit capable of stimulating new psychological and emotional hypothesis. The artist will be present at opening.

“Rhythms of emotions” group exhibition
“Study the monochord and you will discover the secrets of the universe,” Pythagoras stated with conviction. Raffaello Sanzio painter, sensing the magnitude of this revelation, in the well-known fresco of the “School of Athens”, executed between 1509-1511, depicted the Greek thinker sitting in the left corner of the stairway intent on writing while one of his disciples supports a small blackboard with a curious drawing. This is the monochorde, a musical instrument capable of reproducing that harmonia universalis, or that harmonious and imperceptible melody to the human ear, which according to Pythagoras was generated by the motion of the planets and pervaded the cosmos continuously.
In the “Rhythms of emotions” group exhibition, international artists are in tune with the pulsating and deepest soul of the universe; abandoning codes of language or pre-established models, these artists turn their attention to the “feeling” of that inner music, of those harmonic and sound vibrations of life, which through art become so visible in the emotional impact that they arouse. “Rhythms of emotions” is an exhibition where the melodic rhythm of emotions pulsates, free floats and vibrates under the skin of the artworks, giving life to an artistic polyphony capable of shaping the original chaos into new dancing stars. Just as each person’s sound voice is unique and unrepeatable, equally each artwork is born from a particular vibration that is able to bring to life the interiority of a world dozed in the silence of our soul. An artistic review where art, guided by the emotions rhythm, goes into the invisible motions that govern the soul and the world, rediscovering the harmonia universalis of which Pythagoras spoke.
