Today the extraordinary mobility of people, the ease of communication, the digital revolution and the increasing globalization, have shattered physical and cultural boundaries, leading to the creation of an art and a society without frontiers. An “internationality” that has defined new artistic geographies, and that it has also led to the contamination of different techniques and media, breaking and overcoming the millennial principle of kalokagathìa), the greek ideal of “beauty and goodness”. Namely, the contemporary artist does not flinch more in front of the less noble aspects of the world; he is capable of changing; he is forward-looking and flexible;
he’s free from the stereotypes that still affect the contemporary art world and he opens himself to the multiple cultural stimuli.
In fact to be able to move among the quicksands of the paradoxes of the artistic culture, according to the famous exponent of performance art Marina Abramović, first of all, it is necessary recognize the own artist-essence; to be capable of following the intuition; have courage; act according to imagination; be prepared to fail; not fall into the routine; to risk; to be present; get in deep contact with the world. Today the debate on art is very lively and find stimulating points for reflection in the new exhibition “Internation-ART”, organized by the Art Director Angela Fagu. “Internation-ART” is in fact a review of contemporary art where international artists, through their artworks, develop new considerations and thoughts on the current condition of art and the artist, encouraging the dialogue between past and present, making traditional languages interact with new technologies, through ingenious manipulation and eclectic hybridizations
