SUMMARY:“Buongiorno\, Buonanotte” by Claudia Miatello & "Summer Art Florence"
DESCRIPTION:“In the depth of winter\, I finally learned that within me there lay an invincible summer.” \n(Albert Camus) \nIn Ovid’s Metamorphoses the splendid fable of “Vertumnus and Pomona” is narrated. Celebrated several times in modern figurative art\, Ovid’s legend centers on Pomona\, a nymph disdainful of love\, a lover of the outdoors\, always dedicated to rural work and her tasks in producing fruit. Desired by many men\, gods and satyrs\, she was particularly beloved by Vertumnus\, the god of seasons and transformations of Etruscan origin. Vertumno adopted all possible disguises to bring her close and\, now dressing up as a peasant\, now as plowman or mower\, he never missed an opportunity to “enjoy the sight of Pomona and her beauty.” Ovidio concludes that\, after countless failures\, Vertumno resumed the youthful look appearing at Pomona in all his splendor and just when he was about to take her by force\, she was seduced by the beauty of the deity. \nThe love between Vertumnus and Pomona symbolizes the renewal of time and nature through the fruits of the earth in the summer season. Summer is not only the season par excellence of love\, passion\, vitality; but it is also the period in which the fertilized land gives us its fruits; is the time which fascinates us with its rich colors and heady scents; it is the moment in which the sun reaches its maximum energy tinged with warm tones a luxuriant nature that shows itself in all its beauty. \nTherefore in the month of July\, Galleria360 wants to give its personal welcome to summer by proposing a double and unmissable appointment with contemporary art with the solo exhibition of the talented artist Claudia Miatello\, entitled “Buongiorno\, Buonanotte” and the group exhibition “Summer Art Florence”. \nSo\, Galleria360 awaits you at the opening reception which will take place on Thursday 6th of July 2023 at 7.30 pm in via Borgo Ognissanti 77r\, Florence.\nDuring the opening opening night a welcome drink will be offered while Jazz musicians will play live. \nVirginia Bazzechi Ganucci Cancellieri
