Art critic Virginia Bazzechi Ganucci Cancellieri
Virginia is asocial, curious, and fond of outdoor sports. In addition, she also has a great passion for dance, art and music, not only as an appreciator, but also as performer and composer. Her education has always been marked by her interest in humanistic studies, from the choice of high school with the orientation of Classic-European at Educandato of SS. Annunziata in Florence, to the study of Art History at the University of Literature and Philosophy in Florence.
Later, she enriched her university education by participating in seminars and conferences of art-historical argument. Undoubtedly, it has been the opportunity to carry out traineeships and work experience in the field of criticism and curating exhibitions, that allowed her to discover the dynamic and stimulating environment of a gallery.
It is not only a place of exhibition of works, but a living, breathing world full of ferments and characterized by relationships and exchanges with the artists, in a continuous evolution and cultural enrichment. In contact with this reality, she understands the true meaning of the words of Kandinsky, one of her favorite artists, with Pontormo: "The true artwork is born in a mysterious, enigmatic, mystical way by the artist. Broken away from him acquires an autonomous life, becomes an independent entity that has its own natural breathing and also leads to a real-life material, a being. “
